What this page is

These terms govern your use of durakhomes.ca. They are not your construction contract — that is a separate written agreement, and where the two differ, the construction contract governs.

Estimates and pricing

Nothing on this website is an offer or a quotation. Descriptions of work, timelines and any cost figures are general information only. A price becomes binding on us only in a written, signed proposal for your specific project.

What we are licensed to do

Durak Homes carries out renovation and construction work on existing residential buildings. We are not a Licensed Residential Builder under the Homeowner Protection Act and do not undertake new home construction or work that would render a home substantially reconstructed within the meaning of that Act. Electrical and gas work on our projects is performed under permit by contractors licensed by Technical Safety BC.

Your ten-day cancellation right

Where a contract with us is entered into at a place other than our permanent place of business, it is a direct sales contract under the Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act (British Columbia). You may cancel it for any reason by giving us written notice within ten days of receiving your copy of the contract, and we will refund all money received within fifteen days of that notice. This right exists by statute and nothing in our contract limits it.

Photographs and reviews

Photographs on this site are of work carried out by Durak Homes and are published with the property owner's permission. Reviews are reproduced as posted on the third-party platform named beside each one, with a link to the original. We do not solicit, edit or filter them.

Limitation

We take care that this site is accurate but do not warrant that it is complete or current. To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on it. Nothing here limits any right you have under the Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act or any other consumer protection legislation.
